Is the site using https for part of the content? Then you are most likely
experiencing MSIE bugs related to persistent connections.

There is two solutions, either:

a) "client_persistent_connections off" in squid.conf, with the negative
effect that normal browsing is somewhat slower, especially for
dialup or long-distance WAN users.

b) Configure the browser with slightly different proxy settings for the
https proxy. Either a different port, or a different hostname pointing to
the same proxy.
