Yuck! Move to a more efficient cache_dir scheme, such as aufs or diskd.

You want to keep your used disk space below 75-80% of disk capacity for
better performance. You're doing this - good.

You may want to check http://squidwiki.kinkie.it/SquidFaq/SquidMemory ,
especially the last chapter, to understand whether your RAM availability
matches your cache_dir settings.
