What is the version of you squid?
Can you reproduce this problem?

Using Version 2.5.STABLE13 I entered into IE the URL www,ppll.de.

Cache.log shows

         2006/07/26 09:53:23| urlParse: Illegal character in hostname 'www,ppll.de'

Squid does not restart. Squid sends to the IE browser

So, squid failed to parse the hostname, because there is a comma after the www... do you see it? That's why you've been requested to file a bug report the 'specified' way.
