Not in the same manner.

Squid is mainly limited by the CPU power of the box, provided it's built
with sufficient number of filedescriptors.

If it runs out of filedescriptors then it will automatically stop
accepting new connections until sufficient filedescriptors become
available.

When you run out of CPU the response time will gradually increase, until
users consider it unuseable..
