[squid-users] Squid swapout behaviour

Hey all,

I'm curious about how/when squid decides to take an object from memory
and store it to disk.

I see quite a few swapouts for objects in memory even when the memory
cache isn't near full. I'm assuming squid's built to swapout "when
it's convenient" but I'm not entirely clear on how it really decides
to swapout. Can someone give me a quick rundown on this?
