[squid-users] SSH through squid proxy

hi all ,
         We have squid proxy installed in our institute and after a
freesh installation of squid we are unable to use ssh to connect to
outside servers through proxy ,we were able to do it earlier . Now we
get a error 403 access forbidden .The same situation for IRC and the
admin is ready to help but he hasnt been able to figure out what to do
.
Can any one tell me a solution /what changes to de done in squid.conf
to enable ssh and IRC through squid ?
