To add to that, use a log analyzer such as Scalar (check the links at
http://www.squid-cache.org/Scripts/ for others) to gauge your usage
patterns. Set maximum_object_size and the replacement policies to suit
your goals (LFUDA with a large max_object_size for byte hit ratio, GDSF
and a smaller max_object_size for object hit ratio).
