์Nope. Squid is THE Proxy. In my site, except mail, almost all other
traffics have to go through squid :-D.

Others = Public web database (high, non-standard, ports) + ftp + Real
Audio + MSN + blahblahblah

Squid team had made somthing better than they knew :-)
