That's a bit extreme! Do you have it working now?

Either way, if it doesn't start up you should check the cache.log.
That will tell you what the problem is. If you're not able to fix it
yourself and searching for the error message doesn't yield any
clues, you can ask here about it.

If squid isn't starting at all, it's usually because it's unable to
listen on any of the ports it's configured to. This typically means
either you've specified an IP address that isn't configured on the
system, or the IP/port it's listening on is being used by something
else.
