[squid-users] Authenticate with browser, then stay authenticated?

Right now I'm using

auth_param digest program /usr/lib/squid/digest_pw_auth /etc/squid/wlan-proxyauth.digest

Of course not every program can use "digest" AUTH, so what I'd like to
do is:

* authenticate using your favourite browser
* keep browser open on a webpage which uses a refresh period of say 1
  minute
* then somehow use "authenticate_ip_ttl" to make authentication
"sticky" to the IP address for a period of time.

That way all other programs on that computer can still use the proxy
WITHOUT having to authenticate.

Unfortunately I cannot fathom how to actually use authenticate_ip_ttl
-- I need a little piece of example config.
