[squid-users] cache_dir problem

i am using squid stable 19 on fedora 8 but i found that squid wont
maintaining cache_dir
its not able to cache the pages.....

cache_dir ufs /var/spool/squid 30480 64 256

when i check cache.log it shows 0 entries in swaplog
what is wrong in that....
