You are going to have to compare the headers sent by firefox and IE. There
are HTTP/1.1 things that IE does that Squid cannot cope with in older
versions. Then there are things that older Squid like 2.6 do that they
shouldn't. The only way to know is to look deeper than "it doesn't work".
