Maybe. With static content, large cache space, and appropriate
Cache-Control header settings a reverse-proxy cache can reach that. With
  only a little it of work and care most sites can get over 90%.

I'd suggest using the www.redbot.org scanner on any URLs of your website
which are generating annoying amounts of traffic between the proxy and
web server.
