[squid-users] Squid in Deamon Mode

Hi,
 
I start squid in the normal mode as following:

 
/usr/sbin/squid -D -f /etc/squid/squid.conf
 
 
Could there be any benefit achieved running it in a deamon mode. Can please somebody guide in detail
