Hi,
I got this message in cache.log : "Your cache is running out of
filedescriptors"
So I increased the FD, but now when starting squid, I got this message :
NOTICE: Could not increase the number of filedescriptor

Steps I follow to increase this FD :
squid.conf :
added instruction "max_filedesc 4096"
/etc/security/limits.conf :
added instruction "* - nofile 4096"

$ squid restart

Informations :
Squid Cache version 2.7.STABLE6 for i686-pc-linux-gnu
OS RedHAT 2.6.9-34.ELsmp
$ ulimit -n
4096
$ squidclient mgr:info | grep -A 1 "File descriptor"
File descriptor usage for squid:
        Maximum number of file descriptors: 1024

Thanks a lot
