[squid-users] Re: Squid don't cache anything

I encounter the same problem. HTTP caching seems to be working (as I
sometimes get TCP_HIT, but not on all websites) but caching for downloaded
files doesn't work at all.

For example, on my client PC :
wget
http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.5.15/win32/fr/Firefox%20Setup%203.5.15.exe

Generate those /var/log/squid3/acces.log entries :
1289856068.702 12991 192.168.1.2 TCP_MISS/200 8175325 GET
http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.5.15/win32/fr/Firefox%20Setup%203.5.15.exe
- DIRECT/155.98.64.83 application/x-msdos-program

1289856126.234 12087 192.168.1.2 TCP_MISS/200 8175325 GET
