It also fixes nasty http://bugs.squid-cache.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3007 for me. I lived with it for a year :)

I guess the following line is needed in tunnel.cc#tunnelProxyConnected()
 *tunnelState->status_ptr = HTTP_OK;
 
in squid-3.2.0.5-20110328.
