RE: [squid-users] How to clear Squid Cache?

Whenever I want to clear my cache, I do this:

1. Shut down squid
2. Remove my cache root dir (/squidcache, for example)
3. Create my cache root dir
4. Set "squid" as the owner of the cache root dir
5. squid -z
6. Start squid

All scripted, of course.

It seems that the cache is not cleared when squid is restarted. And squid -z doesn't seem to clear the cache either. Would someone please provide some suggestion?
