No. It simply tells Squid that this peer is a web server and expects
requests to be sent in web server format and not proxy format.

Note: many web servers accepts both formats (actually required by
HTTP/1.1).

As Amos already mentioned there is some additional minor twists as
originserver also tells Squid that the peer is NOT an HTTP proxy, so it
can't sent proxy type requests to it.

All in all, originserver flag basically only makes sense in reverse
proxy modes, and then only when forwarding requests to acutal web
servers as peers. Normally those are parent peers to the reverse proxy.
