I don't have an answer for that. Although in a completely different
scenario I get DNS failures when the network is congested (same end result).

Like Ralf mentioned...

## host-check ivwbox.de
ivwbox.de has SOA record ns.ivwbox.de. hostmaster.ivwbox.de. 2011061896
10000 3600 604800 86400
ivwbox.de has no A record
ivwbox.de has no AAAA record
ivwbox.de has no CNAME record
ivwbox.de has no TXT record
ivwbox.de mail is handled by 50 mail.ivwbox.de.
ivwbox.de name server ns2.ivwbox.de.
ivwbox.de name server ns4.ivwbox.de.
ivwbox.de name server ns.ivwbox.de.
ivwbox.de name server ns3.ivwbox.de.
ivwbox.de name server ns5.ivwbox.de.

The absent results for both A and AAAA is fatal for most of us trying to
access the website there. If any of those servers are producing A or
AAAA records, or if your dnsmasq server is producing different results
occasionally things could get rather strange.

Or it could just be confusion between ivwbox.de and www.ivwbox.de which
does have an IP address:

## host-check www.ivwbox.de
www.ivwbox.de has no SOA record
www.ivwbox.de has address 193.46.63.10
www.ivwbox.de has no AAAA record
www.ivwbox.de has no CNAME record
www.ivwbox.de has no TXT record
www.ivwbox.de has no MX record
www.ivwbox.de has no NS record

PS: Beware of tools which silently or automatically prefix "www." to
non-resolvable domain names.
