Consider: Why would the browser pass a request to Squid when you have
configured it not to know the proxy is there?

The browser is contacting the origin server and its traffic is being
wire-tapped / diverted / intercepted / MITM.

What would you expect the browser to do when it believe it needs to
contact a website using the URL?
