Hello,

Within a Windows Server 2003 environment I had transparent NTLM working fine within squid and my domain using the --helper-protocol=squid-2.5-ntlmssp. I have now migrated to Server 2008 R2 and I can now only authenticate with the basic method. I can authenticate with AD fine from my squid server - its just using the NTLMSSP it will keep asking for authentication pop ups and not work. I have done some research and seen that Microsoft have deprecated the NTLMSSP service from 2003.

So will NTLMSSP not work with Squid3 and Windows server2008 for transparent authentication?

Many Thanks
