Some authentication protocols (NTLM and IIRC Negotiate) associate a
status to a TCP connection. In order for them to work correctly
through proxies, the upstream TCP connection must be associated
permanently with the downlink connection, or authentication will be
unreliable. This association is, in squid jargon, named "pinning".
