Hello,

I'm new to squid. I installed Squid-3.2.5, the stable version.

When I start my squid server, I see the following information:

FATAL: Failed to verify one of the swap directories, Check cache.log
for details. Run 'squid -z' to create swap directories
if needed, or if running Squid for the first time.

So I comment that configuration, and run "squid -z",

#squid -z
2012/12/23 23:40:09 kid1| Creating Swap Directories

and it hangs forever. I terminated the program, and run squid again
but it still says the same thing:

FATAL: Failed to verify one of the swap directories, Check cache.log
for details. Run 'squid -z' to create swap directories
if needed, or if running Squid for the first time.

Did I miss some thing? It seems my "squid -z" has problems?

Thanks a lot!

Best regards,
Jackie
