Is there any particular reason you've included Bridging in the above setup?

It's certainly not needed for a transparent proxy (although it would be needed
if you were trying to set up the same machine as a transparent firewall for
some reason), and it certainly does complicate things rather for what you're
trying to do.

So, DG + Squid: fine
Squid as transparent proxy: fine

Squid + Bridging: okay, but less straightforward

Squid as transparent proxy + Bridging: do you really need to do this?
