Are you sure about that being Squid *cache.log* ? that is SyslogNG
message format.
It also looks like the few messages Squid outputs to the kernel
syslog/ksyslog in the period before cache.log funtionality is started.
Look for the actual cache.log file written by Squid for the assertion
and/or FATAL messages which indicate the reason for the abort signal
happening.
