Please upgrade to squid3 package. Then if you can, upgrade to the 3.3
package from Sid repository.
The Debian stable version packages are unfortuately quite a bit behind
on bug fixes.

The connection to server apparently timed out waiting for something.
More will be difficult to say, its been many years since anyone on the
dev team worked on 2.7 code.
