[squid-users] about netdb?

Hi.

Reading my config file squid-3.1.x, I found a parameter called netdb,
googling a little a found a site, what I understand is that.

netdb is used when u have a bunch of squid cache servers and u use
icp/htcp stuff.

In a company where u used a single cache server for security and speed
up the company network, we don't need netdb settings.

Do I understand right or netdb is useful in my network layout?
