There is no v4.x yet, but yes, the latest Squid version (v3.4 and trunk)
do suffer from this bug.

The annoying warnings are just a part of the problem. And there may be
other bugs with similar symptoms. If Vary caching works well for you,
you do not need to patch your Squid, of course.
