[squid-users] Performance goes drop

Hi all,

My Squid run as transparent cache (with WCCP) for around 6 months. Few weeks
ago, my users started to complain that accessing http is very slow.

Then I check my MRTG report (attached). It seems the Ethernet port of router
has busier traffic than the serial port. That I assume HTTP packet "served"
from Squid Instead Internet directly. Router CPU was only 3% -10%.

Herewith my system config:

Squid 2.3S4 on Linux RH 6.2 kernel 2.2.19
Pentium III / 733 with 512 RAM, HDD 20 GB Ultra ATA 66, 3COM 10/100 PCI,
Cisco 2610 with IOS 12.0(7)

How can I optimize system or fix the problem? Your answer is very
appreciated.

Thx & rgds,

Awie
