Henrik,

Yes i'm using Squid as a transparently intercepting proxy, and i get
your instruction (MakeFile changes) for squid ask username and password. But
all time, any new site squid ask for username and password again.

        My actions:

                        ** I change authenticate_ttl to 7200 seconds
                        ** I change authenticate_ttl to 2 hours

But all time squid ask for username and password for new sites.
         Any more information ?

        Regards,

Mauricio Felizardo dos Santos

Are you running Squid as a transparently intercepting proxy?
Authentication cannot be used in transparent proxies.
