Just FYI, this is not the same as the patch I wrote -- this is something
that Duane came up with when I was pestering him about how to reset
filedescriptors for connection retries. ;-) (Thanks, Duane!)
If I'm remembering correctly, this mode just retries every bad address a
straight ten times. If all but one of the www.geocities.com servers is
down, for example, you might run out of retries before you hit a working
server, and you might wind up trying every address at www.pcquote.com
twice if all four servers were down.
