 Hi,

I've never done profiling before, so here I'm newbie.

I wanted to see what gprof will show me on squid, and I'm
 in trouble.

As I understand, you need to compile squid with -g -pg,
link it with -p -pg, run it, then parse the gmon.out with
 gprof, right?
I do not need to make any mods to the source, or do I?

Well, gmon.out is created, pretty large, but it contains
 pretty nothing.

 Any hint?

 (PS. Solaris 2.6, egcs-2.92.29, squid 2.1-patch2)
