Complications:

a) swapin will complain, since the URL does not match.

b) If you rewrite the URL, then request forwarding on misses get a bit
tricky..

c) What about cache validation. For it to work it must be performed to
the server the object was originally fetched from, but this is not
necccesarily known since you are playing some magics with the URL/MD5
here.

Other than these minor issues, the idea seems to be sound.
