Subject: What is the use of "old_sc" of struct "_clientHttpRequest"?

Hi, pals. I am using Squid stable 2.4. When reading source codes, I always puzzled about the meaning of the variable old_sc of the struct _clientHttpRequest. (struct.h, line 876)

In the comments, it says, "... for entry to be validated". The explanation is too brief for me. :-)

Can anyone give me an explanation about how we can use old_src to validate?

Best regards,
George, Ma
