Hi fellow Squid hackers and others interested,

The Squid-2.5 is starting to shape up for a 2.5.STABLE3 bugfix
release, but a little fixing still remains before 2.5 can settle down
for STABLE3.

It would be nice if you please could give the next 2.5 snapshot some
basic testing, especially the areas touched by 2.5.STABLE2 patches
<url:http://www.squid-cache.org/Versions/v2/2.5/bugs/#STABLE2>.
Especially the changes relating to reply_body_max_size needs to be
verified for memory leaks etc..

It would also be helpful if someone else besides me could review the
relevant buzilla entries to determine if there is any additional bugs
worth fixing in 2.5. If you find something which you think should be
fixed either fix it or assign the bug to me with a note why it needs
to be fixed (if not obvious). See also bug listings below.

Note to core members: Do not forget to update the bugs page when
committing changes on a STABLE release. There is a README with the
step by step procedure if you need to refresh your memory.

My list of pending 2.5 bugs:

To be fixed for STABLE3:

Bug #606: Basic auth looping when multiple proxy_auth ACLs

Uncertain: (opinions?)

Bug #610: Fix to enable real NTLM (not just LM)
Bug #607: Content-Disposition header not recognized
Bug #591: segfault in authenticateAuthenticate() if debugging enabled
Bug #495: Connect timeout should produce a 504 or 503
Bug #267: Form POSTing troubles with NTLM authentication

Not yet fully analyzed/verified: (help analysing/verifying please..)

Bug #593: digest auth not working
Bug #592: Problem in proxy_auth and newer_direct/always_direct
Bug #585: NTLM results in Auth_user_request was NULL!
Bug #582: ntlmGetString: bad ascii: ffffffb9 followed by FATAL:
authenticateNTLMHandleReply: called with no result string
Bug #568: proxy_auth basic does not work with always_direct and
never_direct
Bug #567: squid changes "odd" characters in password
Bug #556: cache_peer_access can't deal with acl of type proxy_auth
Bug #542: proxy_auth w/ always_direct returns 'page cannot be
displayed' message
Bug #518: NTLM does no work (wb_auth)

Regards
Henrik
