It's automatically generated at build time. This happens on all Windows
build environments: MS VisualStudio, MinGW and Cygwin.
cf_gen_defines.h is generated from the cf_gen_defines awk script starting
from cf.data.pre.

Check if awk is installed.

But, do you use configure and after make ?
