Yup! The Wikipedia guys have been trying this out for us.
I was going to add in a build option to build tcmalloc (and do whatever's needed
to get 'good' stats from it) but I haven't had the time. For now, people can
play around with it by using the dlmalloc config hack documented in the
wiki.wikked.net page.
