Squid 1.1beta ICP probs.

Is there any particular reason 1.1beta(latest-1.. 8 I think?) would have
problems with ICP responces dropping? I (too hastily) saw multicast ICP
and got a huge woody over it, and installed it the other night. The
first thing that happened is that my parent (proxy.connect.com.au) stopped
sending me ICP replies.. After a quick chat to the guys there, it was
determined that they were actually sending me ICP responces, they were
just getting forgotten about somewhere along the line. I was getting stats
like 300 ICP responces sent, and 8 recieved. This was happening with my two
neighbours as well. After pulling my hair out for a couple of hours, I
cried for a bit then downgraded back to 1.0.18 again. Suddenly, I'm
getting ICP responces back, albeit, they are very, very, late.

If I ping the proxy I'm getting 200msec -peak- ping's.

Admittedly, I have never bothered checking this before, as it's allways
worked, and I work off the if-it's-not-broke-don't-fix-it principle 8)

Anywhere I should look that could give me some clues?
