The trick here, I think, is the netmask. I use:
        ifconfig ed0 inet 206.103.64.25 255.255.255.255 alias
                                                    ^^^
in my rc file and everything works fine. I have been using more
than 20 aliases on line for more than 6 months with no problem
with FreeBSD 2.1.5 and squid 1.1.19 which I should change.
