Increase them when they are all being used :-). You know you've got enough
when there are at least two or three that are never used. Leave them there
as a margin for error.

When squid runs out of dnsservers then it blocks on all DNS lookups which
means squid may as good as stop for all users on a busy cache. This is not
an ideal situation.
