This should be in the FAQ...
9 January 1997 - 27 years = January 1970, origin of the time (the Unix
epoch). This is how Squid displays the "zero" in the field.
This is simply (since Squid 1.1), the time for objects which have no time
(most of them, since few Web servers send proper Expires headers).
