Squid on BSDI

Well, one of our mail servers died a while ago and I was dumped off the
list, so here I am back with a shiny-new machine :-)

There was some talk about making Squid much more stable when running on BSDI
v2.1 by linking in the GNU C libraries. Could someone point me to
information about how to do this?
