Why? I think it is enought to be able to choose between
1. no type, Automatic selection (based on extension and known names)
2. type=a, Ascii transfer (text/plain)
3. type=i, Binary transfer (application/octet-stream)
4. type=d, Directory

I don's see the need for users to specify mime type.
