On a related note, how about a configuration line that changes the
working directory of the squid process.
Why? So it can drop a core file in somewhere other than the swap
directory. My (first) swap directory does not have enough space to
hold the complete core file.
(A symolic link from where it drops core to somewhere with more space
also solves the same problem, but is more magical.)
