FD usage in squid-1.NOVM.10

Dear Squidders,

somebody (I lost his mail) mentioned it a few days ago. I think squid 1.NOVM.10
doesn't free some of it's file descriptors!

I use cachemgr.cgi to have a look at the squid statistics. The longer squid is
running, the fewer file descriptors are free. Then I took a look at the list of
file descriptors. It seems that a lot of file descriptors that are used for
cache writing operations are never freed again.

Is this a bug? Is there a patch available?

Thanks in advance
Christoph
