2 questions: LRU age, and missing squid.pid file

        1) What exactly does the LRU age mean from the cachemgr.cgi output?

Right now (about 10:00am) I'm seeing this:

Storage LRU Expiration Age: 16.49 days

At night, during our peak usage, I see values of like 0.02 days,
or even 0.00 days. The true meaning of this number isn't intuitive,
a search on the squid archive didn't help, and the FAQ didn't help
either :( So can anyone help me? Thanks!

        2) Running 1.NOVM.15, our squid.pid file appears to disappear.
I think it's disappearing when we rotate the logfiles with
'kill -USR1 `cat squid.pid`' or somesuch. Has anyone else seen
this behaviour? If it's not a "known" bug, I will investigate
        further on my end.

        Thanks, everyone.
