Maximizing Performance

I just installed FreeBSD V2.2.2 on a Pentium 166 with 64MB of Ram. I am
still a newbie under FreeBSD.

Can please someone tell me how can I maximize the performance of FreeBSD
and Squid to allow about 200 people to use my proxy? (like where to change
no. of filehandles and processes, etc)
