Anyone tried squid with GNU libc (libc6) ?

Hello,
we're running a fairly busy cache on a P133 with 128MB memory and
9GB of spool. Just recently, squid started "blowing up" itself. It used to
hover around 64-90 MB, but now it grows to 180MB or so within a day and
then crashes (out of memory).

This all started when I compiled squid with GNU libc 2.0.5c. I've now
gone back to Linux libc 5.4.33 and the problem is gone. Oh BTW this was
with squid-1.1.16, 1.1.17 and also the NOVM versions.

Now before I go off to the gnu libc mailing list, I'd like to hear if any
other people tried to use GNU libc6 with squid, and what their experiences
were.

Mike.
