Expanding disk space

hello everyone!

i wanted to add another 2.1GB HD to our proxy server and i found this text
from the squid archives:

        1. Mount second disk
        2. Stop squid
        3. Move 8 dirs to second disk
        4. Make symlinks to emulate 8 moved dirs on their old location
        5. Increase cache size in squid.conf
        6. Start squid

question: if i increase the cache size in squid.conf (i'm running 1.1.18),
will it be -- current cache size + additional cache size? and will squid
automatically adjust storage if the first cache disk becomes full?
